It never ceases to amaze me how this basic concept - that living green will actually save you money in the long run - hasn’t grabbed the collective imagination. I can understand how people aren’t concerned about the Amazon or the polar bear in their daily lives. These things are not part of their immediate reality. They don’t 'affect' them as they go about their business. But finding ways of saving money here and there dominate the consciousness of most people in the world. Going green can save you money and you get to ‘do good’. Why are people not getting this? If they did (that is, if the marketplace entire was motivated by this to go green) that would be a significant step forward. Those who supply the marketplace would have to take notice or fade away.
